CITY WALKS THROUGH ANTWERP, BRUSSELS AND GHENT
Architecture and fashion go hand in hand. Just look at the way the architect Christine Conix combines style with timelessness, reflecting the xandres philosophy better than anyone we know. Her motto is “ ‘Continuously in motion’, and soon you’ll be drawing a building as if it was a fashion garment”.
Because fashion is timeless, xandres and xandres x-line, in partnership with Vizit, have organised a city walk in Antwerp, Brussels and Ghent for its fans. The city walks home in on architecture and fashion in three fabulous cities, each of which has its own story to tell about architecture and fashion.

The well known shopping street Brabantdam in Ghent will soon have a brand new addition. On September 10 a new xandres x-line shop will open. At the moment construction is in full swing to transform the property into a fresh, modern and elegant pilot store, in line with the xandres x-line collection. The current shop in the Mageleinstraat will turn into an outlet store for xandres, xandres x-line and Hampton Bays. To be continued !
Lieve Blancquaert and xandres have joined forces for Annick’s Boutique in Kenya
“When Lieve called us to say that she was preparing an exhibition and wanted to decorate it with xandres fabrics, we immediately said ‘yes’”, said Isabelle Santens, managing director of Andres. “Lieve came and chose the fabrics that we used and her idea was to send the fabrics to Annick’s Boutique in Kabondo at the end of the exhibition where they would be given a second life.”
Annick’s Boutique
Annick’s Boutique has been producing clothes since December. This is a sewing workshop and sewing school for young girls. The name of the workshop is in memory of Annick Van Uytsel who was murdered. She had a dream: to set up a sewing school in Africa. She can no longer make this dream come true, but she left a lot of people behind who wanted to do this in her place. Simple techniques are taught in the sewing school so that the girls can produce garments such as school uniforms for instance. A label is sewn into all the items: “Annick’s Boutique. RESPECT FOR GIRLS.”
